WOJTEK STORIES – TRUE OR FALSE?
11. These are photographs of Wojtek with his army companions.
FALSE
Although these photographs have been used in online stories about Wojtek, they are not genuine images, let alone photos of Wojtek. They feature German rather than Polish army personnel, and as has already been stated, Wojtek did not engage in active combat duties.

As explained on the Fake History Hunter website, these images were put together for a Filmschool graduation film, Bär (2014), by Pascal Floerks. It tells the story of a bear who fought with the Fallschirmjäger (the paratrooper section of the Luftwaffe), so was not about Wojtek at all. It is unfortunate that some of these images have found their way into serious online articles about Wojtek.
