I was born on the Kajszówka osada. Only four settlers lived there: Włodimierz Turowicz, my father, Garlicki, Czobaćko, Mieleszko. They each had a plot of about 20 hectares of agricultural land. The buildings were erected by their own efforts. The osada was named after the village of Kajszówka which was largely populated by Belarusians.
The main road to Nowogród, 20 kilometres away, ran through the osada. Baranowicze was not far from our osada.
Our family was formed of four siblings of whom only I was left alive.
